Design custom slap labels — your text, your colors, your logo
Design your slap label
Everything happens in your browser — nothing is sent to us until you choose to order. Download the files free, or keep going and have them printed.
1 /Shape & size
2 /Color & edge
Pick your edge
Background color
The color fills the label shape (inside the white border, if you picked one). Printed colors can differ a little from what your screen shows — every screen is different and ink isn’t light. It’s a printed color on our standard white vinyl, not a different material or a metallic/fluorescent effect.
3 /Text & images optional
PNG, JPG or WebP photos and logos (transparent PNGs keep their transparency), or SVG vector files. Up to 10 MB each.
Choose a font
Use the up and down arrow keys to preview fonts, Enter to apply, Escape to close.
Width and height stay in proportion — the image is never stretched.
4 /How many labels?
What do these lines mean?
- — pink dashed Cut line. Where your label is cut. This is its finished size and shape.
- — blue dotted Keep text inside. Text and logos inside this line won’t get trimmed.
The faded strip outside the pink line is a little extra color we print so the edge comes out clean — it’s trimmed off. None of this prints. Untick “Show cut line” to see your finished label.
5 /Review & order
Free shipping. Finishing upgrades (laminate, easy-peel backing) are chosen on the order page. Taxes, if any, are calculated at checkout.
Opens the order page with this design loaded and the size and quantity preselected. You’ll confirm the proof once more there, then add it to your cart.
Files — free
The proof is a screen-resolution picture of the finished label. The print files are the exact size you chose plus bleed; text is converted to outlines; uploaded photos are embedded as bitmaps (the SVG is not all-vector when it contains one). The cut path is a separate file on the same page box.
How the label designer works
Shape, size, color
Rectangle, square, circle or oval, in a standard size or your own measurements. Pick a background from the swatches or type any HEX color.
Add text and images
Type your text in real print fonts, drag it into place, add your logo or a photo. The preview shows your finished label — with a white border or without — and warns you if anything sits too close to the edge.
Approve and order (or just download)
Download the proof, print files and cut path free, or send the design to the order page: pick a finish, approve the proof, check out. We print, cut and ship in 3–5 business days.

Is the label designer really free?
Yes. Design as many labels as you like and download the proof, print-ready PNG, artwork SVG, cut-path SVG and design file at no charge, with no account. You only pay if you have labels printed.
How does a custom size get priced?
Each shape has standard package sizes with their own prices. A custom size is priced as the smallest standard size it fits inside — a 3.5″ × 2″ rectangle is priced as the 4″ × 2.4″ package, and you receive exactly 3.5″ × 2″ labels. The designer tells you which package applies before you order.
Can I see where my label will be cut?
Yes. The preview shows your finished label by default — exactly what you’ll get after cutting. Tick Show cut line above the preview to see the cut line (pink dashes) and the line to keep text inside (blue dots). The faded strip outside the pink line is a little extra color we print so the edge comes out clean; it’s trimmed off. None of these lines print.
Will the printed color match my screen?
Closely, but not exactly. Screens show color with light; printing uses ink on white vinyl, and every screen is calibrated differently. Expect printed colors to be slightly less bright than on screen. Choosing a color does not change the material — it’s printed ink on our standard white vinyl, not a metallic, fluorescent or specialty stock.
Which fonts can I use, and can I use them commercially?
29 font families in five styles — Clean, Bold, Classic, Script & Handwritten and Gothic — all from Google Fonts and licensed for free commercial use (SIL Open Font License, or Apache 2.0 for Permanent Marker), with no fees. Every one includes Spanish accented characters. You only see the real weights and italics each family comes in; if a font lacks a character you typed, the designer tells you instead of swapping in another font. The production files convert your text to outlines, so the label prints exactly as previewed.
What image files can I upload?
PNG, JPG and WebP photos or logos (PNG transparency is kept), and SVG vector files. SVGs are cleaned of scripts and external links for safety. The designer warns you when an image would print below 150 DPI at the size you’ve placed it.
Can an image run all the way to the edge?
Yes. Choose No border, tick “Runs to the edge (full bleed)” on the image and stretch it a little past the edge of the label. The cut trims it cleanly. Prefer a frame? Choose White border and your picture fills the area inside it.
What files do I get?
A proof PNG (screen resolution, finished label), a print PNG at 300 DPI including bleed, an artwork SVG with text outlined and your images embedded, a separate cut-path SVG on the same page box, and a design file you can keep. If your artwork includes a photo, the SVG contains that bitmap — it isn’t all-vector.
How does my design get to the order page?
Click Review & order: the order page opens with your artwork loaded and your size and quantity preselected. Choose a finish, approve the proof once more, and check out. The files — artwork, cut path, design data and your original uploads — are attached to the order so we print exactly what you approved.
Can I change the design after sending it to the order page?
Yes. Use “Edit the design” on the order page (or your browser’s back button) — the designer reopens with everything you made. Change anything, approve the new proof and click Review & order again; the newest design replaces the previous one. Nothing prints until you approve the proof and place the order.
How long does printing take?
3–5 business days after you approve your artwork and place the order, with free shipping.
